RFWF is always looking for volunteers to serve at many different levels. Whether it is for a specific fundraising event, in the office, coordinating a food drive or helping spread the word of our work in the community, there is always a place for volunteers. Full Bellies – help provide leadership, prepping, serving at a community dinner offered each Thursday (except the last Thursday of the month). Backpack Program – packing bags of food for weekend consumption for over 280 Enumclaw School District elementary school children every Friday requires volunteers at each of the five district elementary schools. Senior Hot Meal Delivery Program – Every Monday/Wednesday/Friday, a hot meal is prepared, packaged and delivered to over 30 seniors in our community. Volunteers are needed to help shop, prepare the meals and deliver hot to doorsteps. Community Violence Prevention Task Force – Building an infrastructure with resources for those in immediate need due to a domestic violence situation. Mental Health Task ForceImprove community members’ access to local support services. Building mental health literacy and reducing stigma while creating Community Conversations is part of increasing Mental Health resources across the Plateau. The Mental Health Task Force meets the second Thursday of each month from 8:30 AM – 10 AM at Green River Community College Enumclaw Campus. Foothills Drug Free Coalition (FDFC) – Four sub-committees need volunteers to help with environmental changes to reduce drug and alcohol use with youth. Groups include focus on: alcohol, prescriptions drugs, marijuana, and illicit drugs (heroin, meth, etc.). Coalition meets the third Thursday of each month from 3:30-4:30 @ Green River Community College Enumclaw Campus.
